This online course led by Dr. Cynthia Franklin provides a comprehensive review of the areas included in the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) exam: Direct Practice, HBSE, Research, Administration, Social Work Ethics and DSM-5. It is geared towards individuals preparing for the Masters Level (Licensed Master Social Worker), Advanced Generalist Level (AP) and Clinical Level (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) exams.

This course focuses on reviewing essential information, as well as teaching important skills and strategies for successfully passing the LMSW, LMSW-AP and LCSW exams. Participants will acquire knowledge and techniques designed to assist them in obtaining licensure.

The fee includes 12 hours of recorded video instruction, a live virtual Q&A session with the instructor, a study guide and test taking strategies.

This course is approved for 12 hours of continuing education, including 1 hour of ethics, from NASW/Texas.

About the Presenter

Dr. Cynthia Franklin is the Stiernberg/Spencer Family Professor in Mental Health and Assistant Dean for the PhD program in the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Franklin also holds a faculty fellow appointment at the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk in the Department of Special Education. Dr. Franklin has over 150 publications in the professional literature and is a world-renowned scholar in school mental health. Dr. Franklin’s research examines the practice and effectiveness of solution-focused brief therapy with children and adolescents. She is the current Editor-in Chief for the Encyclopedia of Social Work and is the author of several books including, The School Services Sourcebook: A Guide for School-based Professionals (Oxford University Press), and Solution Focused Brief Therapy: A Handbook of Evidence-base Practice (Oxford University. Over the past twenty-five years, Dr. Franklin has worked as a therapist, consultant, trainer and researcher for schools and mental health agencies. She is a clinical fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and holds practice licenses in clinical social work (LCSW) and marriage and family therapy (LMFT).
