NASW National Board Implements Operational Changes

Since 2013, the National board of NASW has been undergoing an assessment of the structure of the Association. It became clear to the staff and board at national that a reorganization would be necessary to sustain the association. Recommendations were made to avoid duplication of services and operate in the most cost efficient manner. The association is financially viable but in order to remain so, some changes will be necessary. Read more.

 

NASW/TX Member Named #1 of the 30 Most Influential Social Workers Alive Today

Professor Emeritus at The Garland School of Social Work at Baylor University, Preston Dyer, has been named #1 on the list of "The 30 Most Influential Social Workers Alive Today" by Social Work Degree Guide. Dr. Dyer is one of the most familiar faces in the social work arena of academia. He joined Baylor University in 1969 and served thirty years as the director of the undergraduate program. Read more.
