The 2015 Annual NASW/Texas State Conference included a Student Poster Session, which gave social work students an opportunity for professional growth, networking and contributing to our knowledge base! Students from BSW, MSW and PhD programs submitted 27 proposals from Texas, Colorado and New York. Fifteen posters were selected to present at the Student Posters Session, which took place in the Exhibit Hall on Friday, November 13th from 12:00pm-1:30pm. 2016 Call for Proposals Opens December 8

NASW/Texas will begin accepting proposals for the 40th Annual State Conference this week. Proposals must be submitted using the online form by midnight on January 27, 2016. Members are encouraged to apply and to invite great presenters they've encountered over the last year to submit, as well. More information and the submission form will be accessible from the NASW/Texas website homepage beginning Tuesday, December 8.

Members are also needed to serve as volunteer abstract reviewers in late February/early March. Abstract readers must have a social work degree (BSW, MSW, PhD) with at least two years experience post graduation and be a NASW/Texas member. Find the link to the application at the bottom of the 2016 Call for Papers webpage.
