This online course led by Dr. Cynthia Franklin provides a comprehensive review of the areas included in the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) exam: Direct Practice, HBSE, Research, Administration, Social Work Ethics and DSM-5. It is geared towards individuals preparing for the Masters Level (Licensed Master Social Worker), Advanced Generalist Level (AP) and Clinical Level (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) exams.

This course focuses on reviewing essential information, as well as teaching important skills and strategies for successfully passing the LMSW, LMSW-AP and LCSW exams. Participants will acquire knowledge and techniques designed to assist them in obtaining licensure.

The fee includes a 12 hour pre-recorded video instruction webinar, an optional live Q&A webinar session with the instructor on May 14 (1:00pm-3:00pm), a study guide with practice questions and a power point presentation.

This course is approved for 12 hours of continuing education, including 1 hour of ethics from NASW/Texas.

Early registration for the program is highly recommended. Registrations and payments received on or before April 19, 2019, will receive an early registration discount.  Payments received or postmarked after that date are subject to the regular rate.

About the Presenter

Dr. Franklin is the Stiernberg/Spencer Family Professor in Mental Health and Associate Dean for Doctoral Education in the School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Franklin also holds a faculty fellow appointment at the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk in the Department of Special Education. Dr. Franklin has over 150 publications in the professional literature and is a world-renowned scholar in school mental health.  

Over the past twenty-five years, Dr. Franklin has worked as a therapist, consultant, trainer and researcher for schools and mental health agencies. She is a clinical fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and holds practice licenses in clinical social work (LCSW) and marriage and family therapy (LMFT).
