NASW/TX Mourns the Loss of 2015 Lifetime Achievement Awardee Tony Carroll

NASW/TX 2015 Lifetime Achievement Awardee Tony Carroll passed away on December 29, 2015. Mr. Carroll was an active member of NASW/Houston and a trailblazing psychotherapist who provided culturally sensitive, compassionate care for LGBT individuals since the 1970s and 1980s. Over the last four decades, he emerged as an indefatigable civic activist, a generous philanthropist, a passionate supporter of the arts, and-most significantly-a leader in the struggle for full equality for LGBT people. Our sincere condolences to his husband, Bruce Smith. A profile of his career was recently re-run in the Houston Chronicle. Read here.
