2014 Membership Drive

Help NASW/Texas reach 6000 members! As social workers, we know that there is strength in numbers, and this is certainly true of your professional association. When we all come together we can do great things to advocate for social workers and promote sound public policy in Texas. Between March 1 and May 31, coming together has some added incentives…

All NASW/Texas members are eligible to win, so now is a great time to talk to your colleagues, call up your old grad school classmates, stop by a branch meeting and encourage all social workers in Texas to become NASW/Texas members.

Who can win?

All NASW/Texas members are eligible.*

Who can join?

Anyone who qualifies for one of the NASW Member types may join, including those holding a BSW, MSW, or PhD in Social Work, students in such programs, or those who have a professional interest in the social work profession.

How does this work?

An NASW/Texas member receives a point for each new member referred to the association when that new member cites them as the referral source in one of three ways:
  1. If joining online, submitting the Membership Drive Referral Form.
  2. If joining by phone, giving the referring member’s name, city, and phone number to the call center representative.
  3. If joining by mail, clearly writing the referring member’s name, city, and phone number on the top of the membership application.
Points will be tallied at the end of the membership drive. The winner will be notified by phone or email and will be announced in the July issue of Network.

For how long does the membership drive run?

The membership drive will take place from March 1 to May 31, 2014.

*Membership Drive Contest Rules:
The NASW/Texas member who refers the most new members during the contest period will be awarded a prize. A new member may not list themselves as their own referring member. The referring member with the most points at the end of the contest period will be awarded the prize.
