Deven Murray(He/Him/His) Deven Murray is a U.S. Army veteran and Graduate Research Assistant pursuing his Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Texas at San Antonio, with an expected graduation in Spring 2026. His academic work focuses on public health, social support, and community-based interventions, with current research exploring AI literacy in San Antonio. He has contributed to projects on social determinants of health, diabetes, disability, and financial insecurity by emphasizing mixed-methods research, systematic reviews, and translating findings into meaningful policy and practice. For his specialized field placement, Deven is excited to serve with the NASW Texas Chapter, where he will advance advocacy and professional development initiatives for social workers across the state. Beyond his academic and professional endeavors, Deven is the proud father of twin newborns, welcomed at the end of June 2025. |
