Protect Access to Student Loans for Future Social Workers

By excluding Social Work from its definition of “professional” degrees, the U.S. Department of Education is limiting access to federal student loans for MSW students, which could reduce the number of future social workers at a time when mental health and social service needs are growing.

You can take action by submitting a public comment before March 2 here, and urging the Department of Education to recognize social work as a profession.
