conference Policies & disclosures
NASW-TX Conference Colleague Commitment Statement: NASW-TX is dedicated to a supportive and collegial experience for everyone, regardless of age, caste, class, color, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and
expression, generational status, immigration status, legal status, marital status, political ideology, race, nationality, religion and spirituality, sex, sexual orientation, tribal sovereign status, level of experience or technology
choices. We do not tolerate harassment of program participants in any form, nor do we tolerate behavior that would reasonably lead to another participant being made to feel unsafe, insecure, or frightened for their physical or emotional
well-being. All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience. Program participants, including stakeholders, violating these rules may forfeit their attendance at the remainder of any conference events, without a
refund, at the discretion of the conference organizers. By registering for the conference, you are agreeing to follow the Colleague Commitment Statement.
Conference Program Content Warning: As with many social work conferences, the NASW-TX Virtual Conference includes a range of topics that may be emotionally distressing and difficult to process. Engaging with such
topics is in the nature of social work. Since this conference intersects with social welfare, social justice, social policy, and social work, the dimensions of the offered sessions may be amplified by discussions and presented material.
If a session is troubling to you, please use your professional and personal resources to ensure the best level of self-care for you.
