SOCIAL WORK ADVOCACY DAY AT THE CAPITOL

Come and join your fellow social workers and social work students in Austin and speak up and out for your profession and clients. Social justice begins with social activism!

Event kicks off at 8 am at the University of Texas – LBJ Auditorium, 2313 Red River St, Austin, TX 78712, rally at 12:30 at the Texas State Capitol, 1100 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704, and events all morning to get you ready to advocate. Online registration closes Friday, March 27, 2026. The fee per attendee is $25.  

ADMINISTRATORS

If you are a group administrator, click on the "REGISTER" button above. The group administrator can sign up and register the entire group at once by selecting the appropriate tickets. Please wait to register until you have confirmed your total group size, so the invoice accurately reflects the number of attendees. Administrators should register themselves under the "Required Ticket" section on the registration form, then add the number of attendees in your group under "Related products" below.  Please note: Free admission is offered to the ONE administrator per group, all other faculty and students must pay the $25 attendance fee.

REQUIRED FOR ADMINISTRATORS

After registering yourself and your group online, please be sure to email your SWAD Admin form with full list of faculty and students to  tsambrano.naswtx@socialworkers.org. SPECIAL NEEDS REQUESTS

If you require adaptive accommodations, make sure to indicate it on your registration form. Please note: If an ASL interpreter is requested, NASW Texas may work with the attendee, school and/or attendee’s employer to split the cost. The deadline to request an interpreter is Friday, March 13, 2026.
