Tuesday, January 6, 2026
NASW Texas is pleased to announce the 2026 Call for Proposals is now open!
The NASW Texas Conference Planning Committee seeks submissions for presentations relevant to critical and emerging social work topics (education, practice, research, etc.) across the social work career span for the 50th Annual NASW Texas State Conference to take place in Galveston on November 5-7, 2026.
We're also searching for volunteers to review the abstracts. This 1-3 hour virtual project will take place in March. Abstract readers must be NASW members, have a social work degree (BSW, MSW, DSW, PhD) and at least two years of experience post-graduation. Please note, individuals submitting proposals for consideration for the 2026 state conference are not eligible.
Be a part of one of these valuable professional development experiences by donating your time and sharing your knowledge with social workers and allied professionals from across the state. The deadline for both opportunities is February 13, 2026. Click on the links below to: Submit an Abstract in the 2026 Call for Proposals Volunteer to be an Abstract Reader
